Well, Amber! You are now a Big Sister to your Baby Brother Cory! I know you will love him and when he gets alittle older, you'll have lots of fun playing with him! Give yourself and him a big hug from Mammaw! Love, Mamma Jennelle
Hi Chris and Abby,
Our daughter Amber Holly is now 4 years old, she was diagnosed at 6 weeks. Amber Faith is beautiful. Our Amber is just fine, she got her first set of glasses at 5 months and now 4 years, they are a real part of her. The glasses go dark in the sun - which helps a ton. We use plenty of sunblock in summer and genrally she prefers to be in the shade. We have a great opthalmologist that she goes to once a year. Generally she copes well as she does not know any better. Amber is quite clumsy and get a couple bumps etc.! She is doing well a nursery school, she just needs to be close to everything so that she can see it. Thanks for a great site. From Chris and Mandy Regel in JHB, South Africa
Hi,
I added a link to this site on our website that I set up for our daughter Lyra. Please let me know if that is okay.
Thanks,
Mashawna
I have seen this weblink on the NOAH AOC webboard. I am Charles Tinkler Jr aka: Kromagnun. I am a firm believer in nutrition having something to do with improving our conditioin with albinism. If you would go to the NOAH AOC webboard and check out my reply to your thread, you will see some additional information on my reply thread that I personally think that every person with albinism should see. Please keep in mind that everyone is not going to agree with what you are doing but some people will. It's good to see that someone else is thinking the same way I do about nutrition and albinism.
Peace
Kromagnun
The website is great. Your daughter is ADORABLE. Thanks for the info. I have a daughter with albinism also (she's 4 1/2) I was already giving her the DHA supplements, but I am now adding the seaweed and Lutein and Xeaxanthin to it. We're on NOAH as ToriLori.
Hi, My name is Melanie. I have a 14 mos old daughter with albinism also. If you don't mind me asking. What is your daughters estimated vision?
Could you also tell me where to get the seaweed? Does it come in pill form? I am still breastfeeding my daughter and I take dhea in pill form. My daughters estimated vision is around 20/80. thank you for your time and your wonderful website!! your daughter is precious! melanie
