Wedding Day: The Reception
We cannot possibly mention all of the memorable moments that took place during our reception. Even if we could, our words would not adequately describe them. So instead we will focus on just a few moments in more detail.
The food was great. We have enough left-overs in our freezer for a good sized gathering. Candici's was our caterer; we love their salad and lasagna. Our cake was made by Wedding Wonderland. It arrived slightly damaged; a large crack in the bottom layer made it resemble the leaning tower of piza. But by reception time it was restored to its beauty and surrounded by delicious homemade cookies.
Evan, a young friend of ours, sang at our reception. He sang his own rendition of "Blue Skies," at our request. It was so wonderful that we hope to upload it to our site soon.
The centerpieces on the tables were bowls containing pretty rocks, floating flowers, and goldfish. Thankfully, as far as we know, all of the goldfish survived until the end of the reception. Well, all but two. These two became part of our entertainment when two friends swallowed them on a dare. Thanks, Dino & Garrett!
Then we threw the boquet, tossed the garter, ran through the bubbles, and headed to Steak 'n' Shake.
